Dr. Dhiraj Pradhananga, Founder President of SEN and UNESCO Chair in Mountain Cryosphere and Water, TU/SEN, will be moderating a 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 on “𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐥’𝐬 #𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 #𝐄𝐥𝐍𝐢𝐧̃𝐨 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬” at the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐥 𝐍𝐢ñ𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤: 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐥, organized by the Water and Energy Commission Secretariat (WECS) and the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM).

The symposium will bring together experts from hydrology, agriculture, disaster management, and the private sector to explore how Nepal can strengthen its preparedness and resilience against the cascading impacts of future #ElNiño events.

The event will also feature a presentation on the “𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝑵𝑺𝑶 𝒐𝒏 𝑵𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒍’𝒔 𝑯𝒚𝒅𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝑽𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚” research led by Kumar Aryal and Research team from SEN.
