Background
The Himalayan region is warming rapidly, yet high-altitude areas remain severely under-monitored due to the limited availability of meteorological observations. This data gap restricts climate research, hydrological assessments, and disaster risk management. The HiM-DATA (High-altitude Monasteries for Data Acquisition, Tracking & Awareness) project addresses this challenge by establishing Automated Weather Stations (AWS) at strategically located monasteries, where year-round occupancy and community stewardship ensure secure and sustainable climate monitoring. The pilot initiative at Namkha Khyung Dzong Monastery, Humla, aims to demonstrate a scalable model for strengthening high-altitude meteorological observations across Nepal.
The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) invites quotations for the Supply, Demonstrate and Installation of AWS at Namkha Khyung Dzong Monastery, Humla. Interested companies/suppliers/vendors are requested to submit their quotations.
Scope of Work
Supplier Should Supply the AWS equipment as mentioned in the specifications, provide demonstration at Lalitpur (Office premises of SEN) and install AWS at Namkha Khyung Dzong Monastery, Humla. And the service delivery must be completed by 25 September 2026.

Submission Procedure
Interested bidders meeting the above-mentioned criteria are requested to send a Password Protected Financial Quotation along with above mentioned required documents in zipped format (do not protect zip file), clearly labelling all the documents. SEN will request the password while opening the financial quotation (after screening process) to the selected bidders. If the bidder fails to provide the correct password when requested, the quotation will be considered rejected.

Selection Criteria
1. Bidders may submit their quotations according to the items and quantities they are capable of supplying.
2. Bidders must complete the entire service delivery by 25 September 2026.
3. The rate quoted should be inclusive of all taxes.
4. Only the quotations received within the deadline and meeting the exact specifications mentioned in the notice will be considered for evaluation.
5. SEN reserves the right to fully or partially accept or reject quotations at its sole discretion without providing any reasons.
6. Any attempt to influence the selection process will lead to disqualification.
7. Submission of false or misleading information will result in immediate disqualification.
