The Small Earth Nepal organized a training program on Application of Google Earth Engine (GEE) on Biodiversity Research to graduate students from Central Department of Botany (CDB) Tribhuvan University. The training program is conducted at the office of the Small Earth Nepal. Eight students doing their Ph.D. and graduate course at CDB attended the training program. The training included new innovative applications of earth observation data on biodiversity research on GEE. GEE is a user-friendly and free tool that is used for earth science data analysis.
Capacity building of graduate students of Nepalese University is one of the important initiatives of the Small Earth Nepal since its establishment. SEN annually provides different trainings, scholarships, and internship to graduates students. The main objective of this initiative is to address the knowledge gaps among graduates in the recent development of science, technology, and tools.
