The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) launched the project called “Communicating Climate Change: We can address it, solutions within us” on 21 May 2011 which is supported by the Korea Green Foundation in ThranguTashiYangtse Monastery (TTYA), Namo Buddha, Kabhrepalanchok District of Nepal.
Mr. Arun Prasad Bhattarai, Administration and Finance Officer of the SEN, gave the welcome speech with short description of the SEN. During welcome speech he acknowledged the monks who had engaged in the environment programs and all the members of ThranguTashiYangtse Monastery.
Mr. Sundar Layalu, coordinator of the project and the researcher of the SEN briefed about the project and its implementations to participants of the Monastery. Mr. Acharya Lopon Karma Samdup expressed his heartful gratitude towards this kind of program in which focused on environmental friendly ways. Then, Mr. Layalu announced and handed over the financial grant for briquette training to the manager of the Monastery, Mr. Lama Tenzin Chophel. Mr. Chophel thanked for launching such programs in their Monastery so that students get aware about environment and encouraged themselves to became environmental friendly. Mr. Acharya Khpnpo Sherab gave sincere thanks to all the members of SEN in his closing remarks. SEN and TTYM signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to run the project smoothly. The program was wrapped with group photo session.
