On November 3, 2023, The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) conducted a community workshop on the Floating Treatment Wetland System (FTWS) project funded by the Asia Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN). The motive of the workshop was to share the research activities and findings of the project to the local communities of Nagdaha area and to collect their feedback and suggestions. Total of 32 participants (M=7 and F=17), including the Ward Chairperson of Ward 24 and the representatives from eight different local women’s groups. SEN presented results from their research on FTWS which followed the discussions and collected feedback and suggestions from the communities. The workshop was successful in disseminating the project results to the community stakeholders and receiving their commitments to take ownership of the floating rafts and conserving Nagdaha. They expressed their need for technical capacity in the preparation and monitoring of the floating rafts. Ward Chairperson, Dinesh Jung Pandey expressed his commitment from the local level to conserve the lake together with the community stakeholders of Nagdaha.
