The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) had an interaction meeting on 20th May with Dr. Anil Mishra, Chief of Hydrological Systems, Climate Change and Adaptation at the Water Sciences Division, UNESCO.
SEN briefed him about its program activities and plans, followed by discussions mainly focusing on the hydro-climate science, and water resources research, International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation (IYGP)-2025, and the UN Decade of Action for Cryospheric Sciences (2025-2034). These discussions highlighted the pressing need for collaborative solutions to address the multifaceted impacts of climate change, particularly in vulnerable regions like the Himalayas.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Anil Mishra for his visit and for inspiring us with his vision and expertise.
