Establishment of Resource Center

A resource center in the project area has been established to ensure better access to information, knowledge about vegetable farming, and climate-smart agriculture technologies relevant to the project area. It is managed by the community which has helped to disseminate the knowledge to wider groups of the local communities rather than the direct beneficiaries.

Similarly, a management committee for managing the resource center has been formed which consists of 3 members. They are responsible for conducting monthly meetings, updating the resources, data/record keeping of the resources such as books, brochures, manuals, and restocking seed supplies in the resource center.

A tag with the name of the seeds, collector’s name, and date of the collection has been pasted on each glass jars which will be updated by the management committee of the resource center.

  • Purchase of cupboard and seed jars: To keep seed jars, brochures, leaflets, books, training manuals, information sheets related to vegetable farming and, a cupboard has been purchased.
Preparation of 5 different flexes for displaying information related to vegetable farming: 5 flexes with contents such as project information, drip irrigation, preparation of manure, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) technologies, and crop calendar were developed, designed and printed.
