Inauguration of Climate Change Learning Centre
The centre is first of its kind established inside a school empowering students themselves. The centre promotes student learning and initiative to spread awareness on climate change.
The Program started with a tree plantation by the nature club student followed by a short remark from Mr. Sudurshan Rajbhandari, the nature club coordinator. The members from the nature club also performed a drama which though being very simple, was very effective on generating the message on importance of forests and trees.
Later the winners from art competition held at the school premises itself on 6 Feb were presented with the prize. The prizes were distributed jointly by former Environment minister, Mr. Ganesh Shah and British Council Country Director, Ms. Paula Middleton The Paintings from the competition were also on the display during the ceremony. Mr. Dhiraj Pradhananga, President of The Small Earth Nepal and Mr. Clive Bowman, Clim- ATIC Research Coordinator later distributed the badges to the Nature club members.
